PARMA HEIGHTS, Ohio - Reconstruction of Ackley Road, between Denison Boulevard and Brookmere Drive in Parma Heights, will begin the week of July 9.
The project, which is expected to take approximately 5-6 weeks to complete, will include new concrete pavement, new under drains and rebuilding of roadside catch basins.
"During construction, traffic will be limited to one-way local traffic with detours posted," said Parma Heights City Engineer Dan Neff. "Homeowners will need to make efforts to park in neighbors' drives while the construction proceeds in front of their home, as parking on the street will be prohibited.
Neff said residents should also expect to be out of their driveways for up to 10 days while the roadway work is being completed.
New work will be limited to the existing roadway and will not include replacement of any drive aprons.
"We recognize the construction will cause some inconvenience to our residents," acknowledged Parma Heights mayor Michael Byrne. "We greatly appreciate their cooperation in making this a successful construction project."
