AKRON, Ohio - The Ohio Department of Transportation has closed the westbound lanes of I-277/US 224 between I-77 and I-76 for the next 28 days for resurfacing.
The closure started late Sunday night and will continue until July 16. The ramps from South Main Street and Manchester Road to the westbound lanes of I-277/US 224 are also closed for 28 days.
One lane of westbound US 224 will be closed from Kelly Avenue to the I-77 interchange for bridge repairs. Detours are posted for the various closures and ODOT said to expect delays during the project.
The entire $13.2 million project will be completed by late October 2013.
