Crash on I-90 westbound on East 185th Street exit ramp turns fatal in Cleveland

CLEVELAND - A driver who struck a pole on I-90 westbound on the East 185th Street exit ramp in Cleveland on Thursday died from her injuries.

EMS responded to the scene around 11:40 a.m. and rushed the 43-year-old woman to MetroHealth Medical Center, where she later died.

A preliminary investigation reveals that the woman was exiting I-90 westbound on the East 185th Street ramp and veered off the road, striking the utility pole.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash and the cause of the wreck is still under investigation.

The name of the woman won't been released until her family has been notified.
