BEREA, Ohio - It's a long-standing tradition and this year it continues. Motorists who travel along the Ohio Turnpike can stop and get a free cup of coffee at any participating service plaza.
The offer is good from 10 p.m. New Year's Eve until 7 a.m. New Year's Day.
You can choose to get your free cup of Joe from any APlus Convenience Store, Burger King, Hardees or McDonald's service plazas.
The Ohio Turnpike Commission hopes drivers celebrate the holiday responsibly. In an effort to help promote safe travel, the Ohio State Highway Patrol will be out in full force, cracking down on drunken and impaired driving.
If you see someone driving erratically, you can report it to the Highway Patrol by dialing *990.
