BARBERTON, Ohio - The Cleveland-Massillon Road (31st Street) Bridge over the Hudson Run in Barberton will reopen Friday at 11:30 a.m.
The bridge, about 0.3 miles north of Wooster Road in Barberton, has been closed since Aug. 13 for a complete bridge replacement project.
The construction cost of the project was $870,157.33, with federal funding covering $696,125.86 of those costs.
The new bridge was built with an additional lane and a sidewalk on the east side to accommodate future plans to widen 31st Street in Barberton and Cleveland-Massillon Road in Norton.
Barberton plans to widen 31st Street in 2014 or 2015.
A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at the bridge on Friday at 11 a.m.
