52-year-old Cleveland man killed in crash on Detroit Avenue

CLEVELAND - Police in Cleveland said a man is dead after speeding and losing control of his car on Detroit Avenue.

The single-car crash happened on Thursday around 9:05 p.m.

A preliminary investigation by authorities revealed the 52-year-old victim was speeding westbound when he lost control of the car and hit a concrete wall in the 10000 block of Detroit Ave.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Police have not named the victim until they have been able to notify his family.

An investigation into the wreck is ongoing.
