CLEVELAND - LeBron James and the Miami Heat have been stuck in Cleveland for the past three days, but the former Cavaliers star said he would be open to making it a more permanent stay somewhere down the road.

James and the Heat used the upstairs practice court at "The Q" Thursday to hold a two-hour practice before his teammates face the Cavaliers Friday night at "The Q." James spoke with the media for about 10 minutes following his workout, and the topics ranged from his interest in returning to the Cavs when his contract is up in Miami to his thoughts on rookie guard Kyrie Irving.

James said he would entertain the possibility of returning to Cleveland and playing for the wine and gold after his contract was up in Miami following the 2013-14 season. I asked James if he would have to accomplish something in Miami before feeling like he was ready to move on. He told me his goals remain the same: "get a ring" and it doesn't matter where or when he gets it, but that has always been his goal.

James went on to say he understands the bad words from owner Dan Gilbert on his departure after the live TV announcement to leave Cleveland and said he "holds no grudges" and is becoming "more comfortable" with becoming a member of the Miami Heat.

James said he loves the play of rookie point guard Kyrie Irving and considers him one of the best point guards in the league. The former Cavaliers star told the media that last season was the toughest season for him both on and off the court and it has taken him quite a while to feel comfortable with the move to South Beach.

James was asked if he understands why the fans boo and he said he completely understands the passion Cavalier fans have for their team, but he also pointed out the animosity towards his move has been much less this year as he makes his way around the league.

This will be James' only visit to Cleveland this season and tickets ironically still remain for the game Friday's game. The remaining tickets may be a sign that Cleveland fans are finally getting over the former league MVP's move and are slowly moving on themselves.
