BEREA, OH (AP) - Hours after missing the first workout of training camp, first-round draft pick Joe Haden reached agreement with the Cleveland Browns.
Haden, a cornerback out of Florida, was en route to Cleveland on Saturday after signing a five-year contract. His agent, Malik Shareef, said on his Twitter account that Haden had agreed to terms of a deal.
The Browns opened camp on Saturday morning. Coach Eric Mangini cautioned that Haden was falling further behind every day he wasn't in camp.
Haden, the No. 7 overall selection, was the last Browns draft pick to be signed and is expected to challenge Eric Wright for a starting job.
