Jacksonville, FLA - John Dutton was intercepted four times in the loss, while completing 21-of-44 passes for 259 and four touchdowns. Dominick Goodman led the Gladiators with 11 catches for 108 yards and two touchdowns. Robert Redd paced the receiving corps with 121 yards on seven catches. He also scored twice.
Maurice Williams provided a spark on special teams, returning a kickoff 53 yards in the first quarter – the first kickoff return touchdown for the Gladiators since Quorey Payne did so on June 11, 2011 versus Georgia.
Bernard Morris completed 27-of-35 for 267 yards and seven touchdowns for the Sharks. Terrance Smith caught 11 passes for 122 yards and three touchdowns, while Jeron Harvey hauled in 10 passes for 90 yards and three touchdowns.
Levy Brown, Ron Haver and Sharks offensive lineman Vladimir Richard were all ejected during pregame warm-ups, after the Sharks ran through the Gladiators on-field warm-ups.
The Gladiators return to Quicken Loans Arena next Friday night for a matchup with East Division foe Milwaukee Mustangs. The game will be televised nationally as the Net 10 Arena Football Friday game of the week. Kickoff is set for 8:00 pm.
