WASHINGTON DC - Former Cleveland Cavalier guard Delonte West won't be visiting the White House along with his current team the Dallas Mavericks.
The NBA Champion Mavericks will meet with President Barack Obama on Monday, but Delonte West has been barred from joining them.
It's because he failed a background check Obama's security team ran on him.
Every visitor who gets to meet the president has to go through a similar check.
West, a DC native, was arrested in September 2010 in Maryland for allegedly cutting off a police officer when changing lanes. When West was pulled over, police said he had three loaded guns. West never went to jail, but was placed on probation.
