SAN JOSE, Calif. - The Browns told us a few things at the FirstEnergy Stadium news conference.

No new helmets, no cheerleaders, new uniforms in 2014, plus three architect firms will look at revamping the stadium in the next 30 days.

Out in Berea, the Browns hired Ken Kovash, who will work with new team president Alec Shiner. He is a football analytics expert. While I'm not sure what he will do with the football side of the operation, it's clear from this story from sbnation his stats could impact the way coaches think. Like Shiner, he will head over from the Dallas Cowboys.

My NFL source is telling me that it's not really a good idea to call Mel Tucker "a front runner" for the defensive coordinator's position because the Browns want to go to a Hybrid 3-4, and Tucker is a 4-3 expert. We will see how this plays out.

The other under-the-radar story Wednesday is that LeBron James' agent Rich Paul, and his Klutch Sports has added longtime Cleveland-based sports agent Mark Termini to his staff, as first reported by ESPN's Brian Windhorst . Termini is a first class guy. This is a rock solid hire, and will give a front row seat at the 2014 LeBron free agent fest. Klutch also has Cavs forward Tristan Thompson.
