CLEVELAND - The man Cleveland sports fans love to hate is at it again.
Without an NBA season to keep him busy, former Cavalier LeBron James took his talents to Memphis for an exhibition game on Tuesday. The Akron native led a team against Memphis Grizzlies forward Rudy Gay’s team.
James scored 43 points in the game that lacked in defense. After one of his dunks, he stood beneath the hoop and ignored a woman trying to give him a high-five. In fact, video shows the Miami Heat player standing near the crowd and staring past the woman as she tries to get his attention.
One comment on the video read, “She was just checking his hand for championship rings and could not find any.” Other person wrote, “Jordan would have got back on D.”
The exhibition game was played in front of about 6,000 fans and benefited Gay’s charity, Flight 22 Foundation.
