AKRON, Ohio - Tiger Woods arrived in Akron Wednesday to prepare for the Bridgestone Invitational golf tournament.

"I look forward to playing this golf course. It's one of my favorites," said Woods when he was asked about his thoughts on playing at the Firestone Country Club in Akron.

Woods arrived at the course early afternoon and talked to the media before heading out to the course he has had much success playing over the years.

The competition starts Thursday morning with the trophy ceremony expected to take place at about 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5.
