WESTLAKE, Ohio - Senior swimmer Lauren Choban of Westlake High School has been named athlete of the week.
Choban is a four-year letter winner for the Demons swim team. She helped the swim team to three conference championships and she was a two time state qualifier.
As team captain, she led her team in and out of the pool. For the past three years, she and her teammates organized a children's book drive and donated the books to a local children's hospital.
With a 4.8 grade point average, she contributes her success to her rich family life with her parents and three sisters. And she has big plans for the future.
"I hope to go to medical school and become a orthopedic surgeon and focusing on the spine," said Choban.
Congratulations, Lauren Choban, for being the best that you can be and the McDonald's student athlete of the week.
