BARBERTON, Ohio - Barberton High School basketball practice is where I found senior Eric Hummel. Eric is more than just a basketball player he's also a four year player on the soccer team and he is the punter and kicker on the Magics football team.
Eric still finds time to be a member of National Honor Society maintaining a four point two grade point average.
"Student athlete student comes first and I know colleges are looking for that and I want to continue to play at the next level and the best part about that is getting an education," said Eric Hummel.
"He's one of those students you need in your school system not only as a part of your athletic department but also a part of the high school he's a leader within the high school," said head basketball coach Ken Rector.
Congratulation Eric Hummel for being the best that you can be and the McDonald's student athlete of the week.
