MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS, Ohio - Sophomore Brianna Rodriguez of Midppark High School is making a splash on the swim team.
Brianna has a love for swimming and she swims all year around. She's also a member of USA swim club SwimStrong.
Brianna recently participated in the Splash Out Cancer event with SwimStrong, which raised more than $19,000 that was donated to the Seidman Cancer Center.
"Everybody knows someone with cancer so working for that with my team and raising money for that was really a good team experience and be able to help other people," Brianna said.
Brianna's hard work in the pool has made her one of the top swimmers on the team.
"She works very hard and puts effort in everything that she does, which makes her standout as a student athlete," said head swim coach Michelle Eibel.
Brianna also excels in art and photography, and maintains a 4.0 grade point average.
