NORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio - Running with the Rangers of North Ridgeville High School and senior Matt Kretschmer. Kretschmer is a four-year letter winner in cross country and a three-year letter winner in track.
Kretschmer is also a member of National Honor Society, Spanish club, key club and he still maintains a 3.9 grade point average.
"I want to succeed in the classroom and on the track. After it's all done I'll have the good feeling that I did my best on the track I did my best in the classroom, the best in everything I tried to do," said Kretschmer.
"For my point of view, it's not what he can do on the track, but his leadership on the team that he helps to provide," said head track coach Lucky Varouh.
Kretschmer would like to continue to run in college and major in civil engineering. Congratulations Matt Kretschmer the McDonald's student athlete of the week.
