GARFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio - It's time for some hoops in the Bulldog Country of Garfield Heights High School. This is where I found sophomore Jocelyn Austin.
After a knee injury over the summer, it was doubtful that she would be playing basketball this season. But with her hard work and determination Jocelyn made it back.
With a 4.2 grade point average she has the same determination in the classroom.
"Very diligent, has the drive to succeed she shows up everyday hard worker in the classroom you can't ask for a better player on your team a better person a better student then Jocelyn," said head basketball coach Tay Tufts.
"I want to go to college, do my four years, just keep spreading my education further then where it is so I can have a good job to take care of myself and be able to take care of my parents when they get older," said Jocelyn Austin.
Congratulations Jocelyn Austin, the McDonald's student athlete of the week.
