FAIRVIEW PARK, Ohio - On senior night at Fairview High School, Cole Ziegler was one of the seniors recognized for hard work on the basketball court.
He's also a hard worker on the tennis court for the Warriors' varsity tennis team.
But on the hardwood he is averaging 10 to 15 points, four to nine rebounds and four to six steals a game. Cole's success is not only in his athletics, but in the classroom as well.
"My academics is equally as important to me as basketball is. Succeeding in academics is just as important to me as succeeding in athletics," Ziegler said.
"Cole is a very good athlete but he is a student first with a three point seven grade point average speaks for it's self. Cole takes it very serious he put a lot of hard work in his academics he understands a relationship between a successful academic career and a successful future," said head basketball coach Pete Maienknecht.
Cole Ziegler's accomplishments have earned him the McDonald's student athlete of the week.
