ROCKY RIVER, Ohio - Only a junior at Rocky River High School, Billy Pelger is paving his own way. The swimmer, lacrosse player and football team center had made quite an impact at his school. In football, Pelger was named Impact Player of the Year for the Pirates.
"Billy is a tremendously hard working athletic in the classroom and on the field. He's coming to football workouts at 6 in the morning still maintaining well over a 3.5 grade point average," said head football coach Rick Adams.
When Billy isn't playing sports, he's in the classroom taking honors classes. He also enjoys working in the community through his Eagle Scout and Key Club activities.
"As a Boy Scout, the motto is do a good turn daily," Pelger said. "I just try to do at least one good thing daily and when I do a good service work, it's something extra special."
Congratulations three-sport athlete Billy Pelger for being our McDonald's Student Athlete of the Week.
