CHARDON,Ohio - Like a fish in the water, so is sophomore Becca Marra of Chardon High School.
Becca has been swimming since the age of 2 and swimming for Chardon High School for two years.
But she was sidelined from the pool last March when she had an operation to put two rods in her back to straighten a curve. Three weeks later Becca was back in the pool.
"I just got sick and tired of sitting around. I just wanted to get back in the pool and I wanted to see everybody again, so three weeks out I decided to get back in because my doctors said it was OK," Becca said.
Her determination in the pool and the classroom makes her an amazing student athlete. She maintains a 4.0 grade point average.
"Her level of caring her level of dedication and never giving up always persevering and just coming back each time," said head swim coach Rebecca Repasky.
