CLEVELAND - Tobacco and alcohol caused a celebration rally for a northeast Ohio state championship football team to be postponed indefinitely.
Officials at Cardinal Mooney High School said the rally is on hold as an investigation continues into players seen with victory cigars and spraying champagne in the locker room.
Dozens of players admitted to holding the cigars and all 41 served a one day suspension.
One or more parents of the players are said to be responsible for supplying the tobacco and alcohol.
The team defeated Shawnee in the state championship game which took place in Canton.
