Cleveland - On November 4 -5th, the Breeeders' Cup Championship races will return to Churchill Downs for a second year in a row.
Ladies Day is scheduled for Friday with 5 races in the Distaff Divisions and the $2 Million Grade I Breeders' Cup Ladies Classic headlining the race card for 7:30p.m. Eastern Time.
On Championship Saturday the first race will post at 12:05pm with an Allowance Race, followed by a Churchill Downs stakes race. The following is the schedule for the remainder of the day: Race 3, The Breeders' Cup Marathon (1:20PM); Race 4, The Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf (GI) (2:02pm); Race 5, The Sentient Jet Breeders' Cup Sprint (GI) (2:37pm); Race 6, The Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint (GII) (3:21pm); Race 7, The Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile (GI) (4:01pm); Race 8, Emirates Airline Breeders' Cup Turf (GI) (4:45pm); Race 9, The Grey Goose Breeders' Cup Juvenile (GI) (5:25), Race 10, The TVG Breeders' Cup Mile (Gi) (6:07pm); Race 11, The Breeders' Cup Classic (GI) (7:00pm).
The Breeders' Cup races have some of the highest payouts to date. Last year, the Pick 6 paid $800,160. On Ladies Day the Pick 6 paid $54,509 for 5 out of 6.
The post position draw will be held on Monday, October 31st.
NewsChannel5 will broadcast the Breeders' Cup on Saturday, November 5th from 2-3:00pm. ESPN will broadcast the remaining schedule that day.
