LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Move over Union Rags!  There is a lot of talk going on at the track Thursday regarding Bob Baffert's Bodemeister and today's listing as the morning-line favorite for Saturday's Kentucky Derby.

Bodemeister drew post position 6 in the 20-horse field.  Baffert claims that he would have liked his colt to be breaking a little farther outside of the inside post considering all the speed that will be to the inside left of his colt.

Bodemeister, the winner of the Arkansas Derby, has great breeding. He is sired by Empire Maker and is out of Untouched Talent (Storm Cat).

Baffert agrees that there is a lot of deep talent in the field, but is happy that he didn't draw the inside post.

Union Rags was listed as the co-favorite Thursday for the Kentucky Derby with odds at 9-2.

In preparation for Saturday, he galloped 1 1/2 miles Thursday morning under an exercise rider. Trainer Michael Matz says his horse is athletic, big and fast.  Union Rags will break from post 4 on Saturday.
