BEREA, Ohio - The trash talking between the Ryan twins has continued.
Browns defensive coordinator Rob Ryan took the podium Friday for his weekly press conference, and threw the dirt back at his brother Rex.
Rob pulled a weightlifting belt out from under the podium, and tightened it around his waist, accusing his brother of doing the same thing before press conferences to hide his gut.
Rob also joked that his brother looks like a turkey, and should worry about getting shot with Thanksgiving around the corner.
Earlier in the week, the Jets head coach dressed up like Rob by wearing a wig, a Browns hat and shirt, and putting a pillow under in his shirt.
The rivalry between the brothers has been a big topic of discussion this week, and Rob said that the two have cut off communication before Sunday’s game.
“I talked to him earlier this week,” Rob said. “We stopped on Wednesday, out of respect for the game.”
Rob also discussed the importance of this game for the Browns season, and how it far it could go in the team’s turnaround.
“We’re in the middle of that turn, and this win will go a long way for that,” Rob said. “We’re excited about this game. We know it’s going to be physical, and that’s the way we want to play it.”
