CLEVELAND - The Browns may be on the verge of inking one of their top free agent targets, according to The Baltimore Sun.
Aaron Wilson, who covers the Ravens, reports that the Browns are "closing in on" Baltimore linebacker Paul Kruger.
Nothing official can be announced until free agency begins at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Kruger, 27, had a breakout season in 2012, compiling 42 tackles and 9 sacks in the regular season, as well as 4.5 more over the course of the Ravens' Super Bowl run.
The Sun previously reported the Browns and Colts were engaged in a bidding war for the linebacker.
