CLEVELAND - Would the Browns have a Lombardi Trophy had Art Modell not bolted for Baltimore? Former Browns executive and now Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome thinks so.
“No doubt. We would have won a Super Bowl,” Newsome says in a promo for a NFL Films documentary on the Browns premiering Wednesday night.
“Cleveland ‘95: A Football Life” tells the story of the season before the city lost football for three years. The hour-long documentary looks at the crop of young coaches and front office members who were with the Bill Belichick Browns of the early ‘90s and have gone on to NFL prominence, including Newsome, Scott Pioli, Nick Saban and Jim Schwartz.
NFL Films’ “A Football Life” series was nominated for an Emmy in 2011.
