Mike Holmgren says goodbye to the Browns

BEREA,Ohio - When outgoing Browns president Mike Holmgren joined the organization, he said he was all in. Holmgren even reiterated that earlier this year. But as of this Friday, Holmgren will be all out, as in out the door of the Browns training facility in Berea.

After announcing it following Sunday's 20-14 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, Holmgren held an informal press conference in Berea Monday afternoon to say goodbye. Holmgren's official last day will be this Friday.

Holmgren plans to head to Phoenix for the time being and has not made any decision of whether or not he will return to football. Holmgren was originally going to leave at the end of the season.

There was speculation that Holmgren wants to return to coaching, perhaps with the Dallas Cowboys if current head coach Jason Garrett is not retained. Holmgren talked with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones recently to apologize for that information be leaked out.

As for the decision to leave now, Holmgren has no regrets on the decision and won't think to much about the legecy but was very thankful for the opportunity to be the president of the Cleveland Browns. Holmgren joined the Browns in December of 2009.
