Josh Cribbs' wife fights back in Twitter feud

CLEVELAND - A Twitter battle broke out Monday with Josh Cribbs and his wife Maria writing back to some of the people who criticized them on the social media site. It all started with a picture posted by the Browns standout kick returner and has ballooned into expletive-filled tweets by his wife.

Background:
On Sunday night, while the Cribbs’ were at the NBA All-Star game in Los Angeles, Josh ( @JoshCribbs16 ) tweeted a picture of LeBron James on the court with the caption, “ My boy @KingJames.” Almost immediately, there was fallout from people who saw the picture and didn’t approve of Cribbs supporting the player who left the Cleveland Cavaliers last summer.

In response to people’s criticism, Cribbs tweeted a couple of responses from L.A.

“Awww don't take it too far Let it go the whole LBJ thing we moved on.... Anyway there's a lot of Clevelanders out here!!”

“If ur threatening to not be a fan bc I'm friends wit @KingJames u were never a fan to begin with, do u agree with all ur friends choices?”

On Monday morning, local Cleveland radio and TV stations were talking about the exchanges on Twitter and Cribbs chimed in again.

He wrote to ESPN Cleveland’s Tony Rizzo: “I have 2 turn in my friend list for board approval, if @BooBysWorld1 (Booby Gibson) or @Mogotti2 (Mo Williams) leaves I can't be kool wit them either?”

The latest:
While Cribbs was responding to Rizzo, his wife Maria ( @MRS_ONE_SIX ) fired off a few tweets to her husband about the friendship with LeBron James. (Note: Her account has been set to private, meaning that users must request to follow her before reading her tweets).

“@JoshCribbs16 Why don't u just tell everyone to kiss ur black A$$!! Ur a grown A$$ man&can like who u damn well please!!”

“@JoshCribbs16 Misery loves company!! Learn to pay no mind to miserable folks and what they have to say!!”

“@JoshCribbs16 Oh yeah their just mad that they're not YOU or Lebron!! LMBAO!! Hehehe”

After those tweets, she responded to what was apparently tweeted to her. A Twitter user with the handle @cavs3125 was referring to the Cribbs' sitting at the All-Star game in seats provided by Cavaliers owner, Dan Gilbert.

Her response comes before the comment that was sent to her.

“He can do what the [expletive] he want to!! Just know that!! RT @cavs3125: @MRS_ONE_SIX he can like whoever he wants but don't take pics of bron and says he's your boy while in gilberts seats. Not smart.”

Not long after that tweet, Maria Cribbs offered this one:

“If u don't like what me or my husband @joshcribbs16 have to say DON'T [expletive] FOLLOW US”

Maria Cribbs has stirred up some drama on Twitter before, as she used the website to advocate that the Browns give her husband a new contract after the 2009 season.

About five hours after his wife’s post, Josh’s final tweet of Monday night seemingly tried to put an end to the controversy.

“Awwwwww woossaahh everybody let's hug it out....”
