AURORA, Ohio - Every NFL rookie is in northeast Ohio for the annual Rookie Symposium, before heading off to training camps.
The orientation is held at the Bertram Hotel in Aurora. All 253 new professional football players are introduced to what their lives will be like as NFL players.
NFC rookies got started on Sunday and wrap up on Wednesday. AFC rookies attend from Wednesday through Saturday.
But on Tuesday morning, the new players were at the Cleveland Browns training complex in Berea for the Play 60 Youth Football Clinic. Three-hundred local children had the chance to learn from the new players who have made it to the professional level.
This is the first time the Browns have hosted the Rookie Symposium.
Aaron Shea is a former NFL player and the Browns director of player development.
"It's the ultimate goal to bring it to OH. Canton is here & that's where the guys want to end up," Shea was quoted on Twitter on the official team page, @OfficialBrowns .
The Cleveland Browns training camp begins July 28, when the entire team will practice together, including Cleveland rookie quarterback Brandon Weeden and veteran quarterback Colt McCoy.
