BEREA, Ohio - The Browns were moved indoors by mother nature today. Persistent showers forced the team to cancel the open portion part of the practice.

Today was the teams final practice before Thursday's preseason game in Green Bay. The team practice lasted just one hour and forty-five minutes in shoulder pads and shorts.

On the injury front wide receiver Mohamed Massaquoi returned to practice but is still a game time decision for Green Bay.

Massaquoi said " I feel great, excited to be back and able to play" Massaquoi was asked if he would be able to play Thursday and he responded " We will see, I feel great, I have always felt great, never developed a symptom or anything".

Linebacker Marcus Benard was also back and practicing today and that is very good news for a linebacking core that is depleted by injuries right now.

Pat Shurmur has already said that the first team will play at least a half and possibly the beggining of the third quarter depending on how many plays they get in. Brandon Weeden is very confident he will rebound in his second preseason start.

Weeden said: "Numbers are deceiving, its never as good as you think it is and it's never as bad as you think it is, that's the problem when you only get to play fifteen plays, because you don't get a chance to redeem yourself."

Weeden also said he did pay attention to what the other first round rookie quarterbacks did in their debuts, even laughing about Andrew Luck's three yard pass that turned into a 62 yard touchdown on his first pass of the game, adding "I won't even talk about that one" with a big smile on his face.

Pat Shurmur's decisions on who will play Thursday will be dictated by who can suit up. Players who were at practice today but did not participate include, Ben Watson, Usama Young, Jordan Cameron, Travis Benjamin, Frostee Rucker and Phil Taylor. Trent Richardson, Dimitri Patterson and Scott Paxson were not at practice today.

Pat Shurmur did say that Chris Gocong did undergo sucessful surgery last week.

The Browns will go thru a walk thru this afternoon and then travel to Green Bay tomorrow. The next practice open to the public will take place Sunday from 2-4:30pm.
