NEW YORK - The Browns are getting greedy, which is a good thing. They want to hit home runs in this year's draft as we get close to tonight's first pick at 8 p.m., when Andrew Luck will be chosen as the first overall pick by the Indianapolis Colts.

The Browns will most likely hang on to their fourth overall pick. If all goes as expected, the team should choose Alabama running back Trent Richardson. But the Browns don't want to be finished there. Several NFL experts think the Browns are exploring trade options with the Buffalo Bills to try and move up to get the Bills' 10th pick in the first round.
The speculation is the Browns would trade away their 22nd pick, and a possible first rounder in 2013, or maybe even their 37th pick this year to grab Notre Dame wide receiver Michael Floyd.
The Browns have a lot of needs, and offense is a big priority for them in this year's draft. But there are some obstacles standing in their way. Will the Minnesota Vikings hang on to the pick ahead of the Browns in the first round? Or, will they trade down and let a team like Jacksonville, Tampa or Miami move ahead of them?
The Browns won't let that happen.
The Bills would be a logical trading partner for the Browns, who want to lock up multiple high picks in the first round. Tom Heckert has said he doesn't want to draft 13 players with his picks, instead use some of the extra picks to move up and get better position in certain rounds.
Round one is a perfect spot for the Browns to swap with the Bills, who are said to be undecided on several players because they have to watch and wait for how the nine picks develop before them.
The Bills do like Michael Floyd as well, but have also talked about a quarterback. The team worked out Ryan Tannehill but that would be a mute point with the Dolphins, who will be grabbing him two picks earlier. If the Bills are convinced they could still get a wide receiver with pick 22, they might consider to slide down and collect extra picks.
This is the beauty of being right in the center of it all for the past two days: different scenarios have developed by the hour and the Browns name is mentioned prominently in many of them.
