BEREA - Picture perfect weather greeted the Browns on day two here in Berea for the teams training camp.
Today's practice belonged to the defense if you were scoring at home. Browns cornerbacks feasted on loose balls from the quarterbacks with Joe Haden,Trevin Wade and Buster Skrine among the backs who came away with interceptions.
Haden said he and T,J. Ward made it a point to talk his cornerback group before practice today. "Me and T got all the guys together and said lets have a better day then yesterday, offense won the day, lets go out and make some plays today". I was just happy to see all of my guys make plays".
Welcome Back: Browns wide receiver David Nelson practiced for the first time in almost a year today after tearing his ACL early last season while a member of the Buffalo Bills. Nelson participated in all of the non contact drills and did not speak with the media after practice. However, teammate Greg Little said how nice it was to see him back.
"I know he has worked really hard to get back to this point and all of us a rooting for him because he will push all of us and make us better".
The Awkward Award: During team stretching drills today a member of another big Browns crowd yelled out to the players who's glad Coach Shurmur is gone, several players as well as members in the crowd raised their hands.
The first full pad work will be tomorrow from 4-6:30pm. Fans are encouraged to get out to Berea early for parking purposes. The Crowds thru the first two days have totaled an unofficial number of around five thousand thru the first two days.
