DETROIT - 7:15PM - Inactives are out for both teams. Not playing for the Browns are Usama Young, Trent Richardson, Eddie Williams, Chris Gocong, D'Qwell Jackson, Marcus Benard, Ahtyba Rubin, Benjamin Watson, Frostee Rucker and Phil Taylor.
Inactives for Detroit are Titus Young, Mikel Leshoure, Louis Delmas, Don Carey, Chris Greenwood, Jahvid Best, Jonathan Scott, Ryan Broyles, Sammie Hill, Cliff avril and Kyle Vanden Bosch.
Browns will wear their white uniforms, the Lions will wear their Blue jerseys with gray pants.
7:25PM - Browns and Lions are taking the field and the replacement officials are also taking the field. The Lions gameday crew plays Madonna's "Vogue" as the Browns take the field. It's far from a sellout here at Ford Field for the preseason opener.
7:32PM - Captains for both teams meet at center field for the coin toss. Browns captains are Phil Dawson Joe Thomas and Sheldon Brown. Browns call tails and lose the coin toss. Lions elect to receive. Browns will get the ball to start the 2nd half.
1st Quarter:
7:35PM - Phil Dawson kicks off for the Browns. And we are underway in Detroit. Dawson's kick is fair caught by Stephon Logan of the Lions in the endzone. Lions first possession will begin at the 20-yard line.
7:37PM - Browns defense force a Lions 3 and out. Joe Haden with a tackle and a pass deflection on the drive.
7:38PM - Browns will take over 1st and 10 at their own 28-yard line and the Brandon Weeden era is underway for the Browns. Weeden's first pass goes for a 1st down to Mohamad Massaquoi.
7:40PM - Weeden's 2nd pass goes for 34 yards to Travis Benjami. Browns are in Lions territory.
7:43PM - Rookie Josh Gordon sees his first action for the Browns. Gordon is unable to hall in a Weeden in his first attempt.
7:45PM - Lions recover a Weeden fumble but the booth is challenging the call saying that Weeden's arm was going forward.
7:47PM - The ruling of fumble is confirmed and the Lions take over.
7:50PM - Lions in just three plays go from their own 28 to the Browns 34-yard line.
7:50PM - Sheldon Brown intercepts Matthew Stafford deep in Browns territory and returns it to their own 39-yard line. Browns take over. Both teams have now turned the ball over here in the 1st quarter.
7:54PM - Weeden connects with Jordan Cameron for a 16-yard reception and a 1st down. Cameron is having a good training camp entering tonight's game
7:55PM - Weeden is veryu lucky not to have his pass to Josh Gordon intercepted as the Lions corner jumps Gordon's route.
7:56PM - Weeden avoids being sacked but gets knocked down by Ndamukong Suh and the Browns have to punt the ball away. Wide Receiver Mohamad Massaquoi suffered a head injury on the Browns first series and will not return to tonight's game.
8:00PM - Matthew Stafford connects with his favorite target all-pro wide receiver Calvin Johnson for the first time tonight on a 29-yard gain.
8:02PM - Stafford and Johnson hook up for the 2nd time on this drive for a 1st down. Lions are now in Browns territory.
8:04PM - Jaqua Parker records a 4-yard sack of Stafford.
8:04PM - following the Parker sack, Browns get a 3rd down stop on a nice tackle by T.J. Ward. Following a Lions punt Browns will take over at their own 25-yard line. Browns and Lions still scoreless with 2:57 left in the first quarter.
8:09PM - Weeden is intercepted by the Lions Dwight Bentley. Lions take over deep in Browns territory at the Browns 25-yard line. The play is under review as all turnover will be automatically reviewed, that's a new rule change in the NFL this year. Weeden was looking for Greg Little on that play.
8:13PM - The ruling on the field stands and the Lions take over deep in Browns territory.
8:14PM - Shaun Hill who just replaced Matthew Stafford at quarterback for the Lions connects with Will Heller for a 1st and goal at the Browns 5.
8:15PM - Keiland Williams rushes for 5-yards and into the endzone for a touchdown. Lions take a 7-0 lead with 1:00 remaining in the 1st quarter.
8:18PM - Travis Benjamin is returning kickoffs for the Browns tonight. Benjamin returns the kickoff from 3-yards deep in the endzone 32-yards to the Browns 29-yard line. Colt McCoy is now in at quarterback and Brandon Jackson is in at running back.
8:19PM - McCoy completes his first pass to Travis Benjamin for a 1st down to end the 1st Quarter. Browns trail the Lions 7-0.
2nd Quarter:
8:23PM - McCoy has had two nice scrambles to start the quarter but penalties have wiped both of those runs away.
8:24PM - McCoy completes a pass to Josh Cooper but penalties force a Browns punt
8:25PM - Reggie Hodges with a terrific punt but the Browns special teams coverage team can't pin the Lions deep in their own territory. Detroit takes over 1st and 10 at their own 20 yard line.
8:28PM - 2nd team defense in the game now for the Browns. Rookie Linebacker James Michael Johnson makes his first tackle as a professional. Defensive Lineman Scott Paxson was injured on the play but walked off the field under his own power.
8:31PM -
DB Dimitri Patterson injured on the 33-yard run by Keiland Williams. Lions are in Browns territory at the 35-yard line. Patterson did leave the field under his own power.
8:35PM - Rookie 3rd round pick John Hughes records his first tackle as a pro on a 2-yard run by Williams.
8:36PM - Following a 3rd down incomplete pass. Lions longtime kicker Jason Hanson misses a 48-yard field goal. Browns will take over 1st and 10 at their own 38-yard line. Colt McCoy will quarterback this series for the Browns.
8:41PM Colt McCoy shows some arm strength and goes deep to Jordan Cameron for 42-yards. Browns 1st and 10 at the Lions 25-yard line. Cameron is hurt on the play but walks off the field under his own power.
8:44PM - Browns can't get a 1st down following the long pass to Jordan Cameron. Phil Dawson connects on a 37-yard field goal. Browns trail the Lions 7-3 with 7:21 remaining until halftime.
8:46PM - Browns Tight End Jordan Cameron walked into the locker room during the last timeout.
8:49PM - Lions have already recorded two first downs on this drive. Both rookies John Hughes and James Michael Johnson performing well for the 2nd team Browns defense.
8:52PM - Lions drive continues thanks to a Buster Skrine holding penalty. Lions are at the Browns 33-yard line.
8:53PM - Lions are in the red zone after a 27-yard pass from Shaun Hill to Maurice Stovall. Lions 1st and Goal at the Browns 6-yard line.
8:55PM - On 4th and Goal Shaun Hill connects with Stefon Logan for a 3-yard Touchdown. Lions lead 14-3 with 2:10 remaining until halftime.
8:58PM - Browns take over 1st and 10 at their own 20-yard line. McCoy still in at quarterback.
8:59PM - Browns rookie wide receiver Josh Gordon called for holding on a deep pass intended for him as we are at the 2 minute warning. Scott Paxson suffers a knee injury and won't return. Dimitri Patterson suffered an ankle injury and his return is quaestionable and Jordan Cameron has suffered a back injury and won't return. Injuries adding up quick already for the Browns.
9:01 - On 1st and 20. mcCoy connects with Jordan Norwood for 14-yards.
9:02PM - McCoy scrambles for a 1st down with a Lions personal foul penalty. Browns are now in Lions territory at the 41-yard line. McCoy's scramble was for 20-yards.
9:03PM - McCoy goes deep to a wide open Travis Benjamin but over throws him. Benjamin would have had a touchdown he was open.
9:04PM - McCoy looks for Evan Moore incomplete, former Browns safety Sean Jones was on the coverage on that play.
9:05PM - McCoy is pressured and sacked for a 5-yard line. Browns will have to punt following the lions first charged timeout of the 1st half with 1:06 remaining.
9:06PM - Following the 38-yard punt by Reggie Hodges. Lions take over 1st and 10 at their own 8-yard line. Kellen Moore the rookie from Boise State is now in at quarterback for Detroit.
9:08PM - Browns force a 3-and out and a Lions punt with 29 seconds left in the 1st half following the Browns 1st charged timeout of the half.
9:09PM - Travis Benjamin fair catches the 48-yard Lions punt. David Sims of the Browns is called for a block in the back penalty. Browns take over 1st and 10 at their own 25 and will run out the clock.
9:12PM - McCoy gets the Browns to midfield with :07 seconds left following their last timeout of the half
9:13PM - McCoy is sacked to end the 1st half.
9:14PM - Halftime Score Lions 14 Browns 3. Browns will get the ball to start the second half.
3rd Quarter:
9:29PM - Browns Adonis Thomas returns the 2nd half kickoff to the 23-yard line. Seneca Wallace now in at quarterback
9:32PM - Browns go 3 and out and will punt the ball away to the Lions.
9:35PM - Rookie Billy Wynn records a tackle
9:36PM - Kellen Moore completes his first NFL pass to Nate Hughes for 24 yards for Detroit.
9:38PM - Browns force a Lions punt. Jordan Norwood will return. Norwood returns the punt back into Lions territory at the 43-yard line. The punt went 46 yards and Norwood's return was 45 yards.
9:41PM - Chris Ogbonnaya rushes for 12-yards down to the Lions 31 on 1st down for a Browns 1st down.
9:43PM - On 3rd and 10. Josh Cooper makes a great catch for 9-yards but the Browns are going for it on 4th down. Ogbonnaya gets the 1st down. Browns are now in the redzone.
9:44PM - Wallace completes pass to Ogbonnaya for 5-yards 2nd and 5 from the Lions 10.
9:45PM - Ogbonnaya loses 2-yards on 2nd DOwn. 3rd and 7 at the Lions 12.
9:46PM - Wallace scrambles to the right and finds rookie fullback Brad Smelley for a 12-yard touchdown. Jeff Wolfert connects on the extra point. Browns now trail the Lions 14-10 with 8:12 remaining.
9:51PM - Browns force a 3 and out for the Lions with 2 incomplete passes by Kee\llen Moore. Jordan Norwood deep to return the punt for the Browns.
9:52PM - Norwood returns the punt 7-yards. Browns take over 1st and 10 at their own 48 yard line.
9:55PM - On 3rd and 4 Wallace connects with Evan Moore for 16-yards. 1st and 10 Browns at the Lions 30.
9:57PM - Browns can't get any closer than the 30-yard
line of the Lions. Jeff Wolfert will attempt a 46-yard field goal which is NO Good. The score remain Lions 14 Browns 10. Lions take over 1st and 10 at their own 36-yard line.

10:04PM - Browns force a Lions punt following a Kellen Moore incompletion. Norwood to return the punt. Norwood calls for a far catch at his own six-yard line. He would have been better to let it go and see if the ball would have gone into the endzone for a touchdown back. 1st and 10 Browns at their 6-yard line.
10:06PM - On 2nd down. wallace goes deep down the Lions sideline and completes the pass to Carlton Mitchell for 33-yards to the 37-yard line.

4th Quarter:
10:09PM - Wallace completes to Josh Cooper for 9-yards. 4th and 1 for the Browns at their 47. Browns line up to go for it forcing then Lions to use their 1st time out of the 2nd half.
10:12PM - Following the Detroit timeout Browns punt the ball away on 4th and 1. Spencer Lanning's punt goes 53-yards and into the endzone for a touchback, 1st and 10 Lions at their 20.
10:13PM - Lions running back Jonte Bell rushes for 14 yards to the 34 on 1st down for another Lions 1st down.
10:14PM - Jonte Bell rushes 21 yards into Browns territory at the 45-yard line for another Lions 1st down.
10:14PM - 3 straight runs for Jonte Bell, three 1st downs for the Lions. This run went for 13-yards down to the Browns 32-yard line. 1st and 10 Detroit.
10:16PM - Lions come up a yard short and are forced to settle for a 40-yard field goal by Derek Dimke which is good. Lions increase their lead over the Browns to a touchdown. Lions 17 Browns 10. 10:25 left.
10:19PM - Adonis Thomas will return the kickoff for the Browns. He returns it from the 5 to the 25 yard line. 1st and 10. Thaddeus Lewis now in at quarterback for the Browns.
10:22PM - Lewis completes a 3rd down pass to 383 Bert Reed for 21-yards to the 45-yard line and a 1st down.
10:23PM - 2 runs by Lewis get the Browns down to the Lions 34-yard line.
10:24PM - On 3rd down Lewis scrambles near a first down and gets it. A gain of 4 to the Lions 30 yard line 1st and 10. Browns call their 1st timeout of the 2nd half.
10:28PM - On 2nd down Lewis goes to the endzone for Owen Spencer incomplete.
10:29PM - On 3rd down Lewis executes a perfect screen pass to Adonis Thomas for 25-yards down to the Lions 3-yard line 1st and Goal.
10:29PM - Adonis Thomas rushes for 3-yards for the TOUCHDOWN. Browns go for the 2-point conversion that fails as Thomas is stopped at the 1-yard line. Lions remain in the lead 17-16 with 6:05 left.
10:35PM - Lions complete a 3rd down pass for 14-yards to keep their drive going with 4:00 left.
10:37PM - Browns force a 3rd down incomplete pass forcing a Lions punt with 2:24 left. Josh Cooper will return the punt
10:38PM - The Lions punt by Ben Graham goes out of bounds at the Browns 30-yard line. Browns take over there with 2:18 remaining.
10:39PM - Lewis completes the pass to Dan Gronkowski to their own 49-yard line for a 1st down as we reach the 2 minute warning.
10:42PM - Lewis completes the pass to Bert Reed down the Lions 34-yard for a 1st down.
10:43PM - On 2nd down Lewis finds Gronkowski for 8-yards down to the Lions 26-yard line 3rd and 2 with :54 seconds left. Browns call their 2nd timeout.
10:45PM - Adonis Thomas carries for a loss of 1. Browns now 4th and 3 at the Lions 27-yard line. Lions call their 2nd time out to ice kicker Jeff Wolfert.
10:46PM - Wolfert connects on a 45-yard field goal. Browns take the lead 19-17 with 28 seconds left.
10:48PM - Lions take over 1st and 10 at their own 34-yard line.
10:49PM - Browns force a Kellen Moore incomplete on 1st down :16 left.
10:50PM - Moore is intercepted by David Sims to ice the game at the Browns 29-line. Browns win 19-17 the final. Browns beat the Lions for the 1st time since 2009 in the preseason.
