CLEVELAND - Free agent offensive lineman John Malecki will join the Cleveland Browns for the 2010-2011 season after signing a contract Friday, the team announced.
The Browns have also waived tight end Joel Gamble.
The 6-foot-2, 304-pound Malecki will wear jersey number 60.
Malecki, 22, of Pittsburgh, was originally signed by the Tennessee Titans in 2010.
At the University of Pittsburgh, he started 27 of 40 games and was named to the Big East All-Academic team after starting all 13 games as a senior right guard.
The Browns will open their exhibition season on Saturday in Green Bay.
