BEREA, Ohio - Browns team President Mike Holmgren confirmed to the media after Thursday's walk through that the team has been sold to Tennessee businessman Jimmy Haslam.
Holmgren said after practice, "The team has been sold, I spoke with Jimmy Haslam last night by phone."
Haslam will be in Berea to watch his new team practice Friday at 8:45 a.m. and then will be introduced formally to the media in a 1 p.m. news conference.
Holmgren was asked about his status as Browns team president and he said the two will talk about his job Friday.
