CLEVELAND - I have tackled quite a few scenarios for the Browns in this year's NFL Draft, but what would all this speculation be without the possibility of drafting a quarterback with the fourth overall pick?

Texas A&M quarterback Ryan Tannehill has seen his draft stock rise faster than any other player in this year's class. Tannehill started just 19 games at quarterback after playing 30 games at the wide receiver position before winning the job outright late in the 2010 season. In his first start against Texas Tech, Tannehill torched the Aggies for 449 yards and four touchdowns. In 2011, Tannehill started 13 games and threw for 3,744 yards and 29 touchdowns.
Tannehill is a quarterback with great mobility and a big arm. He can make all the throws necessary. He has very good size at 6 feet 4 inches, 221 pounds. He is considered the third best quarterback in this year's draft behind Andrew Luck and Robert Griffith the third. There are several teams in this year's draft looking for a quarterback, but even if the Browns do select the A&M signal caller, it is thought by many experts that he will need to sit and develop, and not a guy that can be thrust into a starting role out of college.
So why would the Browns take a chance on a quarterback after drafting Colt McCoy two years ago? Browns head coach Pat Shurmur has already said Colt McCoy is his starting quarterback for the season. If the Browns are thinking long term, then Tannehill is your choice, however do the Browns really have the time to develop a quarterback, when there are so many holes to fill on this team? Ryan Tannehill will be a good quarterback in the NFL and with the right coaching, with his skills, he has the chance to become an elite player.
