Green Bay with the ball to start the third quarter. The way Green Bay's Graham Harrell has played Green Bay really needs a back-up. David Sims a 38 yard pick 6. Browns up 23-6. 12:20 to go in the third.

Colt is in Weeden. 12/20 118 yards, no touchdowns. no turnovers. Jordan Norwood making a strong case to be the last wide out.

Colt gets a fourth and 1 shot, Browns go play action. Brad Smelly big catch. Eric Windsor nice job to strech to get the first down on the strech. McCoy to the other "Gronk". Brandon Jackson capps off a great drive. McCoy with a 13 play drive...eats up more than 7 minutes... I've seen enough. I wonder if the Packers have seen enough of Colt?

Second Quarter.

Browns start the second quarter, much better than the first. Montario Hardesty scores on the first play from one yard out. Browns pick up a dumb face masking call. By Oniel Cousins. So Dawson gets to kick again. He hits it. 13-7 Browns lead. Hardesty now has 42 yards on 10 carries. The offense looks good against  the Packers first team defense. Weeden is 4 of 9.

Packers ball. Rodgers is done. Graham Harrell is in. He goes three and out.

Browns ball: Third down and eight. Weeden hits Little. It's the play that drives me nuts. 5 yard pick up. Harrell a horrible throw. It's a pick 6, that is called back.  Robertson. Lining up in the neutral zone..uggh. Harrell not impressive. If McCoy looks good against Green Bay in the second half. He might end up staying in Green Bay. It would be funny if the Packers fans cheer for Colt when he comes in in the second half.

Another Browns penalty. Block in the back. Cribbs gets a catch. Brandon Jackson is in. Browns throw on 3rd and 1. weeden hits Evan Moore. Good play. On third and 5. Weeden finds Jordan Norwood. Big play for Jordan. Weeden gets licked. Third and long  Great bulling run, Browns beat the blitz.  Beat the Packers and Brandon Jackson gets first down for 9 at mid-field. Second Third and 9, on this drive. Drive ends. Greg Little five yards deep, drops pass. Ugh.. Bubba Ventrone downs the ball at the one. Total hustle.

Browns second team defense having no problems with Green Bay's offense. Three and out.

2 minute drill. Brandon Jackson, offside. Here's the point in the game where the Browns have the first team offensive line with Weeden, against the Packers second team defense. Phil Dawson 52 yard field goal. Why did the Browns take a time out?

Browns get three points against the Packers second and third team defense. Packers miss field goal. I love that Bernie is still calling for the offense to get a few plays in before the end of the half. Good Play by Weeden to Norwood. 53, 47, 52, makes and from 56 he misses..

First Quarter.

Montario Hardesty didn't start the night off the way a running back fighting to change the perception of him around Cleveland has been since he was drafted in the second round, three years ago. Fumbling on the first play of the game adds to the critics of the former Tennessee running back.

Green Bay on a short field, getting the ball at the Browns 23, It took Aaron Rodgers three plays to hit Jordy Nelson on a touchdown pass. Nelson made a great catch, defensive back Joe Haden had him covered. But, Rodgers threw a perfect ball.   7-0 Packers

So far this game looks like the varsity against the junior varsity.

Adonis Thomas had impressive kickoff return after the touchdown.  Hardesty bounces back with a nine yard run. Good to see Evan Moore get the start. Despite being hurt early at camp, I liked him last year. Hardesty gets first down. His first of the game. Quarterback Brandon Weeden completes his first pass to Josh Gordon.  Good pass, Gordon impressive in middle of the field.  Josh Cribbs getting early playing time at wide receiver with Mo Mass out.  Hardesty good second effort, to get his second first down. Looks like he shook off fumble pretty quick. Weeden under presser, smart enough to avoid the sack.

Browns get first penalty of the game. Holding call on Joe Thomas. If they do what they did last week, it's going to be a long night. Looked like to Browns tried to run a middle screen on second down. The play was busted, Weeden lucky taht he didn't throw a pick.  On third down and 20, Weeden throws short  gives offense a chance to get three points. Phil Dawson 43 yard field is good. 7-3 Packers still in the first quarter. But, it comes back. Oniel Cousins hold on the kick. So Dawson hits a 53 yard field goal. That is why he has been the best player on the team, the past few years.

Packers get the ball back. T. J. ward makes a big hit. Then starts talking. It would be okay, but the Packers almost picked up a first down. Green Bay driving on Browns defense. Again Rodgers is skating through the Browns defense. He's putting on a clinic against the Browns defense. T. J. Ward did put pressure on first down.  Sheldon Browns with a great strip on Randall Cobb. Emanuel Stephens with get the ball and puts the Browns in good field position.

I'm not sure I am digging this

review after every turnover. It's stupid that Mike McCarthy picked up a 15 yard penalty, for throwing red flag.

Weeden is having trouble throwing swing passes and screens. Dawson is back. 46 yard field goal. 7-6 Packers. I need to buy my kids a Phil Dawson jerseys.

Packers ball. This game is taking forever. Rodgers all day to throw. It just looks way to easy for him. Still 4 minutes to go in first quarter. It's 8:48 p.m. Joe Haden with a good defensive play, to force 3rd and 5. Good defensive pressure. Eric Hagg steps up while Rodgers is running towards first down. Brings up 4 and 2. Green Bay rushed the line. Browns defense gets a time out. Browns get the stop, after Packers go for it on 4and 2.

Yes, it is preseason. But, I don't think the Packers respect the Browns defense. Should they? Hardesty continues to pick up yards. Greg Little gets his first catch. Nice run after the catch. I like that fact that Weeden is not taking any losses, when he under pressure. He's 3-8 so far.  On 3 and 6, Weeden with a great pass to Little at the 20 to end the first quarter. The offensive line did it's job against the blitz.

End of first quarter.
