BEREA, Ohio - Cleveland Browns wide receiver David Nelson tweeted out one word this morning in capital letters: "CLEARED."
Nelson, who signed with the Browns as a free agent from Buffalo in the offseason, has been out for nearly a year with a torn ACL suffered in week three last season. Nelson started training camp on the PUP list (physically unable to perform) and appears to be ready to join the team.
Nelson also tweeted out, "I have been waiting nearly a year for this, it's GO TIME." Nelson, at 6 feet 5 inches tall and 214 pounds, will add depth to the wide receiver position and has proven to be a very productive receiver from the slot.
In Nelson's last full season in Buffalo, he caught 61 balls for 658 yards and five touchdowns.
