CLEVELAND - While he has only played in two professional games, Browns rookie running back Trent Richardson has already earned his first award for his play.
Richardson was named the Pepsi Max NFL Rookie of the Week for week two of the season. Richardson rushed for 109 yards, his first career 100-yard rushing game. He also recorded his first NFL touchdown run and NFL touchdown catch in the Browns 34-27 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
Richardson beat out Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck, Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and St. Louis Rams punter Johnny Hekker to take home the award.
The last Brown to win this award was Charlie Frye back in 2005 when it was called the Diet Pepsi NFL rookie of the week award.
