NEW ORLEANS - If fans found themselves in the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans in attempt to find something for their kids to do that was Super Bowl related, they quickly found they were in the right place.

About half of The NFL Experience was devoted to kids getting active and having a good time.

From obstacle courses to open run areas, there was enough to keep a 10-year-old busy for an entire day.

“Ii’s been awesome,” said Ravens fan Michelle McComas of Cockeysville. “The kids have been having a great time. They’ve been able to participate in so many games, and really just have a great experience being here.”

Michelle’s son Clay McComas said there was no shortage of fun.

“The most fun would have to be the 40-yard dash, because you get to race your family,” Clay said.

Clay’s father Tim ran the 40-yard dash in 6.03 seconds. He was pleased with his time, but disappointed that he didn’t come closer to the time of Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith.

“I may feel the results of that tomorrow when I try to get out of bed, but I held onto bragging rights for at least another year,” Tim said.

Tim was also happy to find activities for the kids.

“This is what it’s all about, getting the kids engaged in sports and physical fitness. They’re having just a wonderful experience with it,” he said.
