Brian Walsh had 14 points and Zeke Marshall had 13 points and five blocked shots as Akron dominated Arkansas-Pine Bluff 76-46 Tuesday night in nonconference action.
The Zips (5-4) entered 19th in the nation with 8.6 3-pointers per game and connected on 11 of 34 treys Tuesday, including Walsh's 4-of-9 performance.
Marshall entered the game with 29 blocked shots, more than 146 Division I programs, and is averaging 4.3 blocks per game.
Alex Abreu came into Tuesday with 323 career assists and had six to surpass Nick Dials (326) for sixth on Akron's all-time leaderboard.
Eleven Akron players scored points in the game.
Tevin Hammond led the Golden Lions (1-9) with 14 points on 6-of-13 shooting. Arkansas-Pine Bluff shot just 29.1 percent (16 of 55) from the field and hit just 2 of 7 3-point attempts.
Akron outrebounded the Golden Lions 50-24, winning despite 25 turnovers.
