COLUMBUS, Ohio - Coach Urban Meyer and the rest of his staff don't mince words when it comes to Ohio State's linebackers.
They know that the success of the 2013 season may depend on how things shake out at the position.
Developing some linebackers to go with the injured Ryan Shazier is one of the top priorities during Ohio State's spring workouts. Gone are last year's mainstays Zach Boren and Storm Klein.
So assistant coach Luke Fickell says it's vital that Conner Crowell, Camren Williams, Curtis Grant, Joshua Perry and David Perkins, along with several freshmen, make huge strides between now and the opener on Aug. 31 against Buffalo.
In the meantime, there are coaches to impress and jobs to be won.
