COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio State’s football team will once again wear “throwback” Nike Pro Combat uniforms in one of their marquee matchups this season.
On Tuesday, Ohio State and Nike released images of the jerseys, which pay homage to the undefeated 1961 championship team. The Buckeyes will wear the uniforms in their primetime matchup against Wisconsin on Oct. 29.
The design features white block lettering on top of a scarlet jersey, with a gray sleeve and collar. The year “1961” is also inscribed on the inside of the jersey collar, socks and sleeves.
Dark gray pants with a scarlet streak and “O” on the hip accompany the jersey.
Ohio State is one of a few teams around the country selected to wear the Pro Combat uniforms this year. For the past two seasons, the Buckeyes have worn the jerseys against Michigan.
