COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio State University says Heisman Trophy winner and former Tennessee Titans star running back Eddie George is returning to his alma mater as assistant vice president for business advancement.
His new duties at Ohio State include promoting health and wellness initiatives, helping with fundraising and alumni relations, and mentoring student-athletes about professional development. The school announced George's role Tuesday.
He says it's an honor to work for the university and apply what he has learned as a student, an athlete and the head of multiple companies.
George has a degree in landscape architecture from Ohio State, where he won the Heisman Trophy in 1995. He played for the Titans from 1996 to 2003 and finished his NFL career as a Dallas Cowboy for one season.
