COLUMBUS, Ohio - Coming down the stretch, No. 6 Ohio State's biggest goal -- going 12-0 -- is still within reach.
Despite a bowl ban, from the very first practice Ohio State's players talked about winning as many games as possible for the seniors. When the Big Ten ruled that, despite NCAA sanctions, the Buckeyes could still play for a Leaders Division championship then that became an objective.
Now with the two biggest games remaining on the schedule -- on Saturday at Wisconsin and a week later at home against archrival No. 23 Michigan -- a perfect season that is still within their grasp.
Only five times in Ohio State's previous 122 seasons has a team won every game it has played.
The Buckeyes want to be No. 6 in that respect, too.
