KENT, Ohio - Thousands packed the Kent State University student's center on Thursday evening to honor the school's baseball and golf teams for their outstanding seasons.
The baseball team made the school's first ever appearance in the college world series earlier this month. The Flashes eliminated the top overall seed, Florida for the biggest win in the programs history.
The golf team finished fifth in the nation, the highest in school history, highlighted by a sudden death win over Florida State in the NCAA tournament.
All fans in attendance received a season of champions t-shirt from the University as a thank you for supporting the teams during the teams run to the NCAA tournament.
