YPSILANTI, Mich. - Justin Greene scored 17 points and Carlton Guyton 10 to lead Kent State to a 62-58 victory against Eastern Michigan on Wednesday night.
Randal Holt's 3-pointer put the Golden Flashes (17-6, 7-3 Mid-American) up 59-58 with 23 seconds remaining, and Patrick Jackson preserved the lead with a block of Darrell Lampley's short shot attempt with six seconds left.
Chris Evans made three free throws in the final four seconds for Kent State, which won its fifth straight.
Lampley had 18 points and seven assists for the Eagles (10-14, 5-5), and Antonio Green added 12 points.
Evans had 10 points.
Jamell Harris scored 10 points for Eastern Michigan, which remained in first place in the MAC's Western Division despite its .500 record. Ball State and Western Michigan both dropped to 4-6 after losing on Wednesday.
