AKRON, OH - The University of Akron Department of Athletics announced on Wednesday that senior forward Quincy Diggs has been reinstated to the men's basketball team effective immediately.
Diggs was suspended on Oct. 2, 2012, for a violation of the University's Code of Student Conduct. He returned to the University last month and has met all academic eligibility requirements necessary for competition during the 2013-14 season.
Diggs last played during the 2011-12 season, earning MAC Sixth Man of the Year honors while averaging 8.5 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. He shot 44.8 percent from the floor and 37.8 percent from behind the arc during the campaign.
