The Cavs had cap space and expiring contracts to offer other teams at the NBA trade deadline. When it was all said and done the Cavs roster at 3:00 pm eastern looked the same as it did at 2:59 pm eastern.
As long the fax machine wasn't getting a fax at 3:00pm.
The Cavs were rumored to be involved a few small moves over the last 24 hours.
Rumors the Cavs would send Omri Casspi to the Spurs never panned out. Plus, San Antonio was also interested in guard Boobie Gibson according to Fox Sports Ohio's Sam Amico.
Amico via Twitter : If Spurs' bid for Redick fails, may settle by making bid for Cavs' Daniel Gibson at last minute, source says. Would offer 2nd-rd pick."
Also late Wednesday rumors about the Lakers having interest in Gibson.
Most NBA experts expect this summer to be a frenzy of movement for the teams under the new collective bargaining agreement. Teams that want to be over the salary cap will be heavily taxed under the new agreement.
